Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.)

Each year, between 140 and 160 officers die in the line of duty and their families and co-workers are left to cope.  C.O.P.S. provides resources to help them rebuild their shattered lives.  There is no membership fee to join C.O.P.S., for the price paid is already too high.

C.O.P.S. was organized in 1984 with 110 individual members.  Today, C.O.P.S. membership is over 54,000 survivors.  Survivors include spouses, children, parents, siblings, significant others, and co-workers of officers who have died in the line of duty according to Federal government criteria.  C.O.P.S. is governed by a national board of law enforcement survivors.  All programs and services are administered by the National Office in Camdenton, Missouri.  C.O.P.S. has over 50 chapters nationwide that work with survivors at the grass-roots level.

C.O.P.S. programs for survivors include the National Police Survivors’ Conference held each May during National Police Week, scholarships, peer-support at the national, state, and local levels, “C.O.P.S. Kids” counseling reimbursement program, the “C.O.P.S. Kids” Summer Camp, “C.O.P.S. Teens” Outward Bound Adventure for young adults, special retreats for spouses, parents, siblings, adult children, extended family, and co-workers, trial and parole support, and other assistance programs.

C.O.P.S. knows that a survivor’s level of distress is directly affected by the agency’s response to the tragedy.  C.O.P.S., therefore, offers training and assistance to law enforcement agencies nationwide on how to respond to the tragic loss of a member of the law enforcement profession.  C.O.P.S. is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.  C.O.P.S. programs and services are funded by grants and donations.

V4 MOS GLOCK MIL/LEO to Trijicon RMR / SRO / Holosun 407, 507, 508

What is the V4 Series of Adapter Plates and Why?

The CHPWS V4 Series of adapter plates has evolved over the past five years because the OEM mounting plates are the weakest link in the Red Dot System.

The new V4 Series address two specific areas in the Red Dot Mounting:
Mounting Hardware
Optic & Lens Protection (Defender Series)

All new V4 plates will feature our Patent Pending replaceable stainless steel T-Nuts and stainless steel Torx® head screws which are used to mount the RDS (Red Dot System) to the V4 plate giving you the ability to replace the mounting hardware without replacing the entire plate.

The V4 Series retains its industry leading six to seven full revolutions of thread engagement for maximum retention.

Features

6061 Aluminum Plate
Type III MIL-Spec Hard Anodize Coating
Qty 2 – 416 Stainless steel T-Posts
Qty 2 – Torx Head Screws
Qty 2 – M3 Screws
Single Use Pack of VibraTite VC-3
*The V4 MIL/LEO eliminates the requirement of the RMR Sealing Plate but it can be used if you are required to use one by policy.
In the coming weeks we will reveal our V4 Upgrade Program.  Any current V1, V2, or V3 customer will be eligible to send in his or her old plate and upgrade to your choice of new V4 Adapter plate for a nominal charge (about $30 to $35 dollars).  We want all clients to have the option to upgrade to the latest and greatest hardware.
