Jace Walters: How C&H Precision Fuels Success

My journey with C&H started at the 2023 Glock GSSF Annual Match in Talladega, Alabama. Between my stages, I found myself wandering over to the C&H booth, drawn in by their newly launched optics. I didn’t know it at the time, but that one conversation would set off a chain of events not just leading me to this trip, two years later, but opening up a series of opportunities to continue working alongside C&H in the upcoming months and potentially years. By the end of that weekend, and after a few more conversations with C&H Precision’s owner, Buck Holly, I walked away with a new optic and adapter plate for my Glock 34MOS – and a partnership that would change everything.

After that match, I didn’t see them for a while. I went back to Ohio, school and of course training, while C&H kept growing down in Georgia, adding new adapter plates regularly and even more innovative optics to their product lineup. Our paths, however, crossed again at the 2025 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, where I was able to catch up with Buck and the team about my shooting career, and future plans.

Originally, I wasn’t planning on attending the 2025 NRA Show. School is busy as always, and Atlanta isn’t exactly next door. But with C&H’s help, I’ll not only be at the show, but I’ll actually be working at their booth alongside their team, sharing my experience with their products to guests. Not only does this give me the opportunity to check out the latest innovations in the firearm industry, but also to make new connections and hopefully build relationships with other companies.

In February 2025 on the way home from a competition in Florida, I was offered an exclusive first look of the new C&H Precision building. Walking through their current facility was like stepping behind the curtain of everything I’d been using and trusting in my competitions. I got to see every department – slide cutting, Cerakoting, engineering, shipping, customer service, sales and marketing. I met the team behind it all, the people who put in the work every day to create the products I rely on – everyone was super nice and excited to meet me, and answered all of my questions. One of the coolest parts was finally meeting Wes, who runs the C&H contingency program. Up until then, he was just a name in my inbox, sending me updates on my contingency balance. Meeting the people behind the emails and products made everything feel real in a way it hadn’t before.

But then, I got a sneak peek at something even bigger – the new C&H building which is still under construction. Buck himself walked me through his vision: a huge factory floor for expanded manufacturing, a new pro store and shooting range, firearm rentals, training classes, rentable spaces, and even a café. Not only that, but new offices for everyone I had just met, and space for the team to grow – it was overwhelming, in the best way possible. Out of everything, the indoor range stood out to me the most. Unlike the usual cramped lanes I was used to, this one was designed with wider stalls and felt much more spacious than anywhere I’ve been to before. Just standing there, imagining what this place would look like when finished, was enough to get me hyped for the future.

After the tours, they invited me to an outdoor gun range to do some shooting alongside Michael, one of their armorers. I was able to shoot a full-auto rifle and pistol for the first time, which was really fun. We spent the afternoon trying out different rifles, handguns, and some new optics of course, and just had a lot of fun – it was a great experience.

Before we had to wrap up and head home to Ohio, we sat down for an interview about my journey in pistol shooting – where I started, where I am now, and where I want to go next. It felt good to reflect on it all, especially surrounded by people who genuinely support me.

Leaving C&H Precision, I wasn’t just excited – I felt inspired. Watching a company like this grow so fast, seeing their passion, their drive, and their commitment to quality firsthand, made me even more motivated to push myself harder. I’ll be back again this summer, once school finishes and the new building is complete, and will be working alongside the team firsthand, getting experience with the different departments that make the company run. I can’t wait to get to know the team more, and to see Buck’s vision fully realized. Being part of something like this, even in my own small way, is a feeling I can’t really describe – but I know it’s just the beginning.
