All slides are evaluated when they arrive to determine that an optics cut can be safely milled into the slide. If we determine your slide cannot be upgraded, we’ll send it back to you at no charge and issue a complete refund.
Any 2011/1911/STI series 80 slide that has a safety plunger/firing pin block CANNOT be milled for any optic or adapter plate due to the cut going into the safety plunger/firing pin block cavity. The only exception is the Lionheart Regulus due to the cavity for the firing pin block not extending into the cut area.
**The CHPWS EDC-RMSc, Holosun 407K / 507k/EPS, Shield RMSc, Sig Romeo0 and Trijicon RMRcc can be direct milled to your slide without an adapter plate. All other optics must be mounted with the CHPWS cross plate.
**Both direct mill and CHPWS cross optic plate adapter cuts require the rear dovetail to be milled away. Most CHPWS cross plates incorporate a built in back up iron sight.

Shipping Instructions:
Safely remove the slide from your pistol. Remove all necessary internal components and iron sights if you selected to send your slide disassembled. Wrap it up, box it up and send it to us using your favorite shipping method (Fedex Ground / UPS / USPS). Please include a copy of your paid invoice or a note with your name, phone number, email address, and order number. **If you ordered the cross cut please leave the firing pin and firing pin retaining plate installed in the slide as the retaining plate will need to be milled down for the cross plate to be mounted.** We STRONGLY recommend sending your slide in a box and not an envelope. Most envelopes we receive get ripped open during transit and we have received a few empty envelopes. If you want to make sure your slide gets to us safely BOX IT UP.

I sent my Springfield Champion in 9mm to C&H to have the direct milling done in order to mount a Trijicon RMRcc.
Their CS was phenomenal, and kept me advised every step of the way.
The milling is incredibly precise, and they mounted my optic perfectly.
Because I chose the direct milling, there was no way to have a rear sight. Aaron suggested the PMM independent drop in rear sight for RMR’s. This solved my problem of no rear sight, and keeps the already streamlined install even sleeker.
Total turn around, 10 business days plus shipping time. Even called to tell me it was done and on the way.
Can’t recommend these guys enough, and plan to use their services again.

I sent my Staccato P for a cross plate milling to use my Holosun 509. Communication was good only with one customer service rep. The rest was very poor and doesn’t reply my emails. I had to call them to ensure my request was heard.
I received my slide back and here’s when my disappointment begins. A few burrs here and there.. very choppy treatment. But the paint of the plate was chipped and very very poor finished. I was so bad… that when I scrub my finger over, it starts to chip out and some parts of the plate had paint bubbles. Horrible job and very poor quality control over this plates. This is very sad and I live far enough to be sending my slide again just to correct a plate thing. Warranty does not give me access to send only the plate. The pattern of the plate is not the same as the plates they sell. So if I decide to replace my red dot I don’t know who’s gonna take care of the plate since none of those on the plage will work with my specific mill.

Good Job! perfect fit on milling my STI for my red dot Romeo 3max and always someone answering phone when you needed them, finished slide as promise and I”m sending them my other 2011 slide for another milling job for my Romeo 3max.

The worst machining I’ve ever seen. I had my Staccato P milled for a Holosun 509T. Slide had burrs everywhere it was so bad that when I racked the slide I cut my finger. Even the Cerakote was done poorly overspray all over the sides of the slide. I spent over 4 hrs with a file and sandpaper removing the burrs from my slide, The next day I shipped the slide away again to one of your competitors that I’ve used before to have Cerakote reapplied. They did call me 1 day before the 4 week or its free but they could have taken the time to do the job right. As of today Sunday May 29, 2022 I’m still without my slide because it had to be shipped out again to be done the correct way, A Staccato is a $2300 gun in the condition it was returned to me the optic that it was milled for was worth more than the gun. I was a first time customer and now a last time customer of C&H. I’m sure this review won’t be posted I’ve left a google review also complete with pics of the awful work performed. Maybe someone at C&H will take the time to look at some of my other reviews on google and see some of the quality work I’ve received from their competitors and make corrections so that no one else experiences this.
