The plate itself was machines very well. A small amount of play fore and aft for my 2.0 optics ready before securing it with screws.
The supplied screws were long enough for my 407c but I did have trouble staying in that 10in lbs of torque. With 10 in/lbs the torque wrench would break at 10 and the screws still had a good 4 to 6 turns left before flush with the surface of the red dot. Holosun does call for 15 in lbs and I had to go up close to that with CHPWS supplied 10 in/lbs screws so I hope I don’t have them snap off in the slide only time will tell. I did message CHPWS CS about this I will follow up if they reply or they may reply to this. Either way very nice plate not happy with the supplied screws.

Very impressed with the milling on this item. Great fit and finish overall. A very well made product. 4 stars instead of 5 because there is still a visible gap in the front of the plate that will allow shear force to eventually shear the optic off the slide. There is a gap between the slide and the front of the plate and a gap between the plate and the front of the optic! The rear of the optic-to-plate and the rear of the plate-to-slide are a perfect fit. In addition to this, the screws that were provided with the plate were so short that they would barely fit through the plate, much less the optic and the plate. Luckily, I was able to obtain the proper screws and make it work. (One of the things that sold me on this item was that it supposedly included the proper length screws that Holoson doesn’t provide.) I was able to shim the gaps with a very thin piece of plastic that seems to be doing the job. Time will tell.

Fits perfectly. Nice quality, much better than the factory plastic plate. a quick eye ball, looks like the sight is still zero when I remove the plastic plate and replace with this metal plate.

I’ve been shooting 10mm’s for years and in my opinion the plastic plates that came with my M&P 2.0 5.6″ are not going to withstand years of punishment. The plate needs to be metal and needs to be good quality. A friend told me about CH and their quality 6061 material they use for their plates. It was a no brainer for my 10mm. Ordering and shipping were excellent.
