DRY-FITTING DISCLAIMER:
At C&H Precision, our products are designed and manufactured to meet tight tolerances. Installation can be affected by variations in your plate, hardware, optic, and firearm tolerances. For safe installation and to prevent potential damage to any component, we advise dry-fitting all parts before a full installation. If any problems arise during this process, please reach out to our Customer Service via our
contact portal.
IRON SIGHTS DISCLAIMER:
When making aftermarket firearm modifications, factory components can often become obsolete, particularly when mounting optics on the slide, whether through direct milling or using a plate. Achieving the correct height for low co-witness iron sights depends on factors such as the firearm type, mounting plate, optic, and slide cut. For assistance in determining the appropriate iron sight height for your specific setup, please contact our Customer Service team through our dedicated
contact portal.

When I got my optics ready S&W I took one look at the cheap plastic bases and knew they would never withstand 10 mm recoil. So I did some research and found these guys.
So I ordered a plate, got it and put it on. It is metal, machined perfectly and snapped into the mill cit snug but not tight. Zero slop between the plate and optics cut and screw holes aligned perfectly.
My only complaint is the lack of info on the included V3 thread locker. I watched the install video and it said nothing about how to use it.
It’s VERY fast drying and sticky unlike Loctite. So I applied some to one screw and threaded it into the slide till it was snug. Then did the same on the other side. But when I went to torque down the first screw it was already set up and wouldn’t tighten. So I’m guessing the screws will never come loose but they will also never be removable should I ever want to. I would have just used Loctite 242 had I known.

The fact S&W thought a plastic plate would be a suitable solution to mount an optic on a 10MM Auto is almost laughable. I almost became a one-eyed Pirate! Thank God I found C-H. My RMR is now mounted as solid as could be. The fit and finish of the plate is first rate, and the screws were perfect as well. Don’t think twice, just buy the damn plate, you won’t be disappointed! Thanks C-H!!
