2011 / 1911 / STI SLIDE OPTIC MILLING SERVICE
From: $129.00
All slides are evaluated when they arrive to determine that an optics cut can be safely milled into the slide. If we determine your slide cannot be upgraded, we’ll send it back to you at no charge and issue a complete refund.
Any 2011/1911/STI series 80 slide that has a safety plunger/firing pin block CANNOT be milled for any optic or adapter plate due to the cut going into the safety plunger/firing pin block cavity. The only exception is the Lionheart Regulus due to the cavity for the firing pin block not extending into the cut area.
We cannot mill any .22 caliber 1911 slides.
**The pictures of each modification are an example of what only choosing that modification will look like on the slide. Modifications performed may not look exactly as depicted depending on your slide model and the combination of serrations, windows, and/or pockets you chose.
**The CHPWS EDC-RMSc/EDC Enclosed/C&H Max, Holosun 407K / 507k/EPS, Shield RMSc, Sig RomeoZero/RomeoZero Elite/RomeoX Compact (Romeo Zero Pro and R cannot be direct milled) Vortex Defender-CCW (Defender-ST and XL cannot be direct milled) and Trijicon RMRcc can be direct milled to your slide without an adapter plate. All other optics must be mounted with the CHPWS cross plate.
**The Agency Optic System (AOS) cut can only be milled in slides that have no rear sight dovetail or a standard rear sight dovetail. This cut cannot be milled into slides that have a BOMAR rear sight cut or other adjustable rear sight cuts that are low at the rear of the slide and cut into the firing pin retaining plate.
**All 1911/2011 milling requires the rear dovetail to be milled away. Most CHPWS cross plates and AOS plates incorporate a built in back up iron sight.
** Most 1911/2011/STI slides are milled to the depth of the base of the rear sight dovetail or BOMAR cut for direct mill or cross plates. Slides with a shallow rear sight dovetail or no dovetail are milled to a depth of .200″ from the top of the slide if possible. This is to ensure the cut is flat and screw holes are milled properly. For slides with a deep dovetail this can mean some thinner base direct mount optics may have the bottom of the window slightly below the top of the slide and make optic integrated rear sights sit too low to be usable with stock front sights.

I could not be more pleased. I was concerned how the finish would look without any finishing after the cut. It looks like it did prior the cutting. Done on time, phone call clarifying order details and notice of shipping. Exceeded expectations and will highly recommend to others!

My slide arrived Monday per usps, got a call Monday around noon. They verified my address and answered all my questions. Said it should be done in a couple of weeks.
Received the slide on Friday of the same week. That’s quick! Milling is clean, cross slot fits plate well without any bind. Optic fits plate perfectly.
Did a quick 4 click bore sight and tomorrow morning I will be sighting it in and enjoying my low set optic on my 1911.
Very happy, C&H will be getting more of my pistols for their plates and milling.
Thank you C&H

CHPWS was super easy to work with and got everything I asked for. Their ordering was very simple and everything was laid out to every specification of the milling process. It was done super quick and the slide service was done neat and quality. They mounted my new back up sights and red dot with no extra charge. I am really happy as went with another shop and they still have my slide and it’s been 2 months! My slide was done in less than a week! That is amazing! Also, this company is not just another company they have pride and respect for your time and equipment. Customer for life!

I had the slide for my Tisas 1911 Carry B9R direct milled for a Holosun 407k/507k optic and Cerakote finished. It was a little under 3 weeks from the time I shipped it to CHPWS to the time I received it back. They were great with communication prior to me ordering, once they received my slide and optic and again before they started the work to verify what I wanted done. I received the slide back with my provided optic installed already. The slide milling quality was excellent and the optic fits perfectly. The Cerakote looks great and is at least as good if not better quality than the original factory finish on the slide. I am extremely happy with the work done, the time it took, and the cost. CHPWS’ cost was lower than several other places I looked at and in some cases significantly lower. This is my first 1911 and now I seem to have caught the bug so I am sure that I will be sending more work their way in the future.

CHPWS received my 1911 slide on 10/16 and returned on 11/2. Had them mill for their COMP red dot and a nitride finish. The slide/plate interface is a perfect fit and the new finish is without complaint. The COMP is perfect of senior eyes. The turn time is most surprising. This is my third project with CHPWS and would like to do more, but ran out of guns.
