All slides are evaluated when they arrive to determine that an optics cut can be safely milled into the slide. If we determine your slide cannot be upgraded, we’ll send it back to you at no charge and issue a complete refund.
Any 2011/1911/STI series 80 slide that has a safety plunger/firing pin block CANNOT be milled for any optic or adapter plate due to the cut going into the safety plunger/firing pin block cavity. The only exception is the Lionheart Regulus due to the cavity for the firing pin block not extending into the cut area.
We cannot mill any .22 caliber 1911 slides.
**The CHPWS EDC-RMSc, Holosun 407K / 507k/EPS, Shield RMSc, Sig RomeoZero/RomeoZero Elite/RomeoX Compact (Romeo Zero Pro and R cannot be direct milled) and Trijicon RMRcc can be direct milled to your slide without an adapter plate. All other optics must be mounted with the CHPWS cross plate.
**Both direct mill and CHPWS cross optic plate adapter cuts require the rear dovetail to be milled away. Most CHPWS cross plates incorporate a built in back up iron sight.
** Most 1911/2011/STI slides are milled to the depth of the base of the rear sight dovetail or BOMAR cut. Slides with a shallow rear sight dovetail or no dovetail are milled to a depth of .200″ from the top of the slide if possible. This is to ensure the cut is flat and screw holes are milled properly. For slides with a deep dovetail this can mean some thinner base direct mount optics may have the bottom of the window slightly below the top of the slide and make optic integrated rear sights sit too low to be usable with stock front sights.

Shipping Instructions:
Safely remove the slide from your pistol. Remove all necessary internal components and iron sights if you selected to send your slide disassembled. Wrap it up, box it up and send it to us using your favorite shipping method (Fedex Ground / UPS / USPS). Please include a copy of your paid invoice or a note with your name, phone number, email address, and order number. **If you ordered the cross cut please leave the firing pin and firing pin retaining plate installed in the slide as the retaining plate will need to be milled down for the cross plate to be mounted.** We STRONGLY recommend sending your slide in a box and not an envelope. Most envelopes we receive get ripped open during transit and we have received a few empty envelopes. If you want to make sure your slide gets to us safely BOX IT UP.

Excellence all around, from good communication, quick turnaround times, and quality work! I had CH Precision mill and coat a 1911 slide. My optic fit the cut perfectly. In the past, I have used other companies for milling / coating. CH Precision does 1911s, whereas the others don’t! Also, I really like the look of the Honeycomb pattern, just wish they offered Sig Dark Grey Cerakote. I’’d send them even more work.

I sent them a Springfield long slide to get a cross plate cut for a Lead and Steel PB-3. They called me the day they received my slide (I couldn’t answer so it was just a voicemail) just to verify everything, very professional. They sent me back the slide in like two weeks with the plate already installed and the screws witnessed marked, I can’t tell you how incredible and how happy I was when I actually saw the finished product.
I will 100% be using C&H again and my only regret is that I didn’t pull the trigger sooner (excuse the puns)

C&H Precision does an amazing job. I have a Alpha Foxtrot S-15 1911 which is my daily carry, I had them machine the direct mount cut into the slide for the Holosun 407k/507k/EPS Carry footprint. The direct mount cut in the slide is precise and very clean with no sharp edges. The cerakote protective coating is applied evenly, it looks nice and clean. The coating will keep the direct mount cut protected from the elements for years to come. C&H Precision slide milling team got my slide finished in 2 weeks, they responded back to my email in a fast professional manner when I reached out to them to find out the progress on my slide.
