2011 / 1911 / STI SLIDE OPTIC MILLING SERVICE

From: $129.00

All slides are evaluated when they arrive to determine that an optics cut can be safely milled into the slide.  If we determine your slide cannot be upgraded, we’ll send it back to you at no charge and issue a complete refund.

Any 2011/1911/STI series 80 slide that has a safety plunger/firing pin block CANNOT be milled for any optic or adapter plate due to the cut going into the safety plunger/firing pin block cavity. The only exception is the Lionheart Regulus due to the cavity for the firing pin block not extending into the cut area.

We cannot mill any .22 caliber 1911 slides.

**The pictures of each modification are an example of what only choosing that modification will look like on the slide. Modifications performed may not look exactly as depicted depending on your slide model and the combination of serrations, windows, and/or pockets you chose.

**The CHPWS EDC-RMSc/EDC Enclosed/C&H Max, Holosun 407K / 507k/EPS, Shield RMSc, Sig RomeoZero/RomeoZero Elite/RomeoX Compact (Romeo Zero Pro and R cannot be direct milled) Vortex Defender-CCW (Defender-ST and XL cannot be direct milled) and Trijicon RMRcc can be direct milled to your slide without an adapter plate.  All other optics must be mounted with the CHPWS cross plate.

**The Agency Optic System (AOS) cut can only be milled in slides that have no rear sight dovetail or a standard rear sight dovetail. This cut cannot be milled into slides that have a BOMAR rear sight cut or other adjustable rear sight cuts that are low at the rear of the slide and cut into the firing pin retaining plate.

**All 1911/2011 milling requires the rear dovetail to be milled away. Most CHPWS cross plates and AOS plates incorporate a built in back up iron sight.

** Most 1911/2011/STI slides are milled to the depth of the base of the rear sight dovetail or BOMAR cut for direct mill or cross plates. Slides with a shallow rear sight dovetail or no dovetail are milled to a depth of .200″ from the top of the slide if possible. This is to ensure the cut is flat and screw holes are milled properly. For slides with a deep dovetail this can mean some thinner base direct mount optics may have the bottom of the window slightly below the top of the slide and make optic integrated rear sights sit too low to be usable with stock front sights.

Repeat customer. First time was about a year go, an experiment into 1911 MRD for my son (I already have MRDs on some polymer guns, but not 1911s). I bought him a used SA Loaded 1911-A1, stripped the slide and sent it in to direct mil for a HS507k ACSS Vulcan and ceracoat the slide in OD Green. In the interim I did some work to the frame components. As advertised, they called to confirm order, completed the work a week early, and sent emails/tracking when slide was shipped back. Got it back and was very impressed – the ceracoat was flaw free, the milling sharp and tight to the 507k, they even included correct grip length screws for the 507k! Reassembled slide, ground the front sight post to a nub and installed the base to fill that gap on slide, test fired and since put close to 1000 rounds through it – no issues with screw retention or zero. Extremely happy with the service and quality – when I turned the pistol over to my son I kind of missed the fun so decided to repeat the process on one of mine.
Recently sent them my rather new Kimber Rapide slide to be direct milled for a HS507k ACSS Vulcan, and only ceracoat the milled area in black. Again the process comms were as advertised, the work was perfect and there were no marks/scars made to my slide whatsoever. A couple hundred test rounds and no issues with screw retention or zero. In fact I since then had to remove the 507k and reinstall it, and was surprised at it was back to zero with no fine adjustment!.
Don’t know if I’ll do another 1911 milling – but I will DEFINITELY recommend C&H to friends and fellow shooters!

Had the optic plate added to my 1911 along with the slide being redone in nitride. Extremely happy with the process, being updated throughout the order, and the end result was perfect. Very happy with being able to add a red dot to my 1911. Was very impressed with the customer service as well. Will be getting more work done soon!!

Milling service was a perfect fit for my Vortex Defender, and cerakote was an exact match for my slide. Great price and great service. 3 weeks and I was back at the range. Will buy from again.

Great service! Very professional! I had 2 of my 1911’s milled. C & H Precision gave me exactly what I ask for and exceeded my expectation on both of them. The constant communication and provided updates were a plus. It gave me peace of mind throughout the whole process. Aaron, promptly answered questions even after the service. I will be using their services again!
